 Re: The Purple Pages
Thank you so much, Granny-FL, for the invitation. So sweet and generous of you.
Alas, I think my traveling days may be over. No actual reason, just that I'm feeling my age. This year I didn't even visit with my friends in Tampa. It's the airport chaos that rather intimidates me. But for Clay! Well, it could happen...
By the way, did I ever send you the photos of Canandaigua? Or did anyone else send them?

 Re: The Purple Pages
Thank you so much, Granny-FL. 'Twould be so nice to visit. I used to own a house on the beach in Ormond Beach, just north of Daytona. I sold it in the 70's and it has now been torn down and condos built in its place. I've never been back to that particular part of the beach since and would be curious to see it today. Back then it was all private beach homes. Maybe I wouldn't like to see what 'progress' has wrought. I think I'll check it out with Google Earth... Wish I hadn't. Can't identify my old spot at 733 N. Atlantic Blvd. It's now all commercial, it seems. *missing those good old times* Thanks again, Barb. Oh! This is a Clay board! Almost forgot. Love Clay's Key Club speech. Have your listened to it? Well worth the download. He speaks as well as he sings. Check out Claylove's Key Club Speech: http://www.clackunlimited.com/clack/Onl ... bestclips/

 Re: The Purple Pages
Good Morning everyone. Happy Sunday.
Birdie, I imagine that Florida has changed in many ways since the 70's. I live in a place called The Villages, which is a huge retirement community, like no other. I understand that the section I live in was farmland only about 6-7 years ago. Now there are more that 40,000 homes here and it's still growing. It's really nice to have so much to do, with a pool in every neighborhood and 39 golf courses. And many, many activities. Over 500 clubs, including every kind of activity you can think of. Can you tell I love it here? Almost 3 years now.
By the way, I've converted one of my friends to a Clay fan. We went looking for Clay's new CD the other day, and couldn't find it anywhere. Although Target said they were all out, but had only received 2 copies. Out of sight, out of mind with the record industry, it seems.
Well time for church.
I love you guys.

 Re: The Purple Pages
Just a quick "hello" to everyone. I am still around...and still in love with Clay Aiken. You don't see me as much here, because I've gravitated to a group of ladies I became friends in RL with through this Board...and we all love Clay...although we don't always love everything he does...or how he does it...but "love will keep us together". I'm now up to 4 grandchildren...3 boys and a girl. The youngest, a boy, is now 5 months old. I've had some bad back problems the past couple years which has definitely slowed me down and limited my social activities...but I WILL be in Lancaster with my DH to see Clay

 Re: The Purple Pages
I thought I'd drop in and say hi also. I have been babysitting my grandchildren quite a bit so have been keeping busy. They are both girls and ages 1 & 3. The cutest little girls ever.
I will be seeing Clay in Reno and Milwaukee. I won a M & G for Milwaukee so I am beside myself with excitement. I've never met him except at the Gala when I stood beside him in a picture but I really didn't talk to him.
So excited for the tour starting tonight. I'll be listening to the cellstream over at CV.
All who are going to concerts, have a blast. For those not going, enjoy the Clack.

 Re: The Purple Pages
Hi! I'm back in North America for the rest of the summer. Feels good but I HAVE to stop eating!! I'll be at the concerts in Windsor, Chautauqua, Lancaster, Hampton Beach, New York City, and Verona. Hope to see as many people as possible and can't wait to read and hear about meet and greet experiences. I've read that there are dates already booked for the winter/spring of 2011. I've seen Memphis posted at CV.....it will be awesome to do a concert with my girl, Jill, again. I can't believe that I haven't been to one show this tour yet and I'm already thinking about the next one.

 Re: The Purple Pages
I won't be able to make the tour this time, but I surely am looking forward to the next one, and a chance to see Karen Eh? again. It's been way too long, friend. I didn't subscribe to the cellstream this time, because we have computer issues at the house, and I seem to find myself away from the computer rather than glued to it these days. : )
Yet I look forward to reading about the banter, mostly, and seeing some clips of clack. : ) I haven't watched any yet, but hope to see some this evening. I hear it's pretty fun so far!
Hope to see some of you next tour! Miss everyone!

 Re: The Purple Pages
Hey, congrats to any and all of you able to take in a T&T show or two (or more) shows this summer. Clay delivers, so you will enjoy. And Ruben! I've always had a soft spot for Ruben but finally I'm seeing his personality. It appears to be a great show. I'd love to see it live.
I wish to express my gratitude to those ladies who keep up the clack tradition. It serves Clay well.
